RING AMPAGE xl AUTOCALC for maximum estimated ampage of skt wire

S

srands

Anybody got an EXCEL spreadsheet to calculate the est. approx AMPAGE of the RING CIRCUIT socket wire from just the following?:

~ SKT WIRE lengths from skt to skt, and last skt to fusebox
~ MAXIMUM AMPAGE of each skt

Eg:
Skt A to B = 10M's
Skt B to C = 5M's
Skt C to D = 3M's
Skt D to A = 7M's

Skt A ampage = 5A
Skt B ampage = 3A
Skt C ampage = 10A
Skt D ampage = 7A

I'm aware of Kirchoff (http://www.voltimum.co.uk/files/gb/others/0/20100106819Kirchoff-Ring.pdf See Pgs 2-4), but I can't be bothered to do that everytime.

I want just a simple spreadsheet  to enter:
the METRES OF SOCKET WIRE and
the AMPAGE MAXIMUM AT EACH SOCKET,
to calc the RING CIRCUIT AMPAGE of the SKT WIRE.

I know there is software to do this, but surely this can be sorted into XL formulas easily.

Cheers

Stephan

My word you'd think I was asking how to make/buy explosives, detonators, bombs, guns, bio hazard or toxic chemicals!

No wonder Luke Goss, isn't keen on Vampires! (You get it? "I hate vampires", well RING circuits is all about AMPAGE spread/distributed, point being if you don't know what it is on paper, you're not likely to come to the right conclusion, especially if you had it work it out the Kirchoff equation for yourself after not having ever done it before or not for a long time, without being near your reference guides/notes or a computer/laptop).

Anyway solved the Kirchoff equation. So in other words, the offices work it all out for the electricians, so I guess it's a red herring that electricians are good with maths.

See spreadsheet for Kirchoff calc with workings:

srands sparks are good at maths but we are even better at knowing what size cable to wire a circuit in without a geek program. I could tell you how we do it but since your clueless I won't. Jog on.

Laugh...

Im sure he is actually very clever.

However, I wouldn't trust him with a scutch.

He would want to know what size hammer you could hit the scutch with, 20 strikes with a lump or to 2 with a sledge.
