Very, very true eng! Unless you use a joint box or some of the MK sockets which advertise as being able to take 3 x 4mm cables (I have never attempted this....but just talking theoretically!)!
On most of the projects i've worked on, have been with MK accessories, and i can tell you that 3 x 4mm cables into any of there accessories is a nightmare!! The electricians are always tempted to chop a strand or two off, to get the cables into the terminal. What's more the accessory terminal screws will then extend beyond the terminals moulded shields/guards....
MK may know something we don't, perhaps they can produce a short video showing us all how to terminate 3 X 4mm into a socket outlet!! other than that, ...best to steer well clear of 4mm ring or radial circuits if you want to spur or extend from them, mid circuit from an accessory plate....
