Hi all

just wanted to confirm as got the nic man and anything that comes up, want to be confident in the answer.

Am i right saying that the r1 & r2 reading on a reading circuit should be ruffly the quarter of the end to end readings added up ie

L2L=0.26
N2N=0.26
L2L=0.43

TOTAL = 0.95

THE R1 & r2 value should be ruffly a quarter of that total.

also another quick question on the cert it says refernce method i have looked at the bs7671 bit confused, which one is mostly used in a domestic property ?

any ideas ??:confused:

TOTAL = l2l + e2e devided by 4 is your r1 plus r2 at each socket

THE R1 & r2 value should be ruffly a quarter of that total.

Mostly clipped direct mate
any ideas ??:confused:[/QUOTE

ref method means how is the cable installed, ex ref c is clipped direct to wall not touching any insulation. ring test. end to end all 3 conductors, results are little r1 little r n and little r 2. just do more study

measure end to end of both cables
l - l =r1
n - n = rn
e - e =r2
cross connect l - n
(add together readings r1 + r2 and divide by 4)
this reading should be seen around ring and will become R1+R2
