If you do a figure of 8 R1+R2 test than surely this confirms polarity as out of three wires you've just confirmed two so process of elimination says.....?
It won't tell him much doing it one socket I agree on that point.

Yep doing a Martindale and Zs test are the same effort and I do use a Martindale on PIR's.
And yes you're right that a CPC and r1 could be cross connected so my theory goes to pot. Happy to be corrected
Mine does but don't ask me what model or make it is because it's in the van at work.
Not enough information,I'm afraid,can you post up the cert results in their entirety?(Without Company names)Then I can make a valued judgement,but only on the cert,not on the installation!
