domestic spark

hi, was approached today by a spark that had done a board change, blah to cut a long story short........................

he said i had two ringmains one upstairs and one for downstairs. when i used my bell testers to check ends so i was sure i was connecting right ends togther back as rings in 32a breakers, it belled between all 4 line ends in ALL combinations? what does this mean?

from hearing this i wasnt able to give a certain answer? dont know anymore than this as i havent been to the job.

but has anyone got any ideas please??

You cant give a certain answer....the only certain thing is something is far wrong and needs investigating.....most likely wot telectrix said.

if its a basic continuity tester and there is something plugged in on each circuit its possibly picking up thru the nuetrals if they are all still connected?
