Hi Guys,
One of loads of questions,

In A Brian scaddan book ive got it says, if you do the figure of eight, i.e link N-P at the c.u for instance ,then go in each socket on the ring and test between N-P, if you get a nil reading its either a open circuit or a reverse ploarity between N-E or P-E.
When i draw this out and purposely reverse the polarity on both the above i seenm to get a loop through trhe tester indicating i would get a reading and not an open circuit for either N-E or P-E.

Im confused ,your help would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Locket

if you link line and neut and test at a socket but one of the conductors is missing or reversed with the cpc then you wont be able to get a reading for correct polarity you would carry out same test only this time with line cpc
