When its come to 4 pole rotary isolators, do most of you use one brand or whatever is in stock at the time of ordering.

Fitted 2 Gewiss ones today and thought they'd be good to work with, how wrong was I?

No space in em at all, the cheaper ones from Chint and Europa seem just as good but loads more space.

The eds I use has the Europa ones on the shelf and seem to be ok, I like Moeller ones too

canny mind the name but electric center had no bad ones for a while Altho somw wholesalers just sell 32a rotory isolator but dont specify a manufacturer I tend to use size above that required to give more space some of the 32a ones you would be hard pushed getting 2.5 in without bending it beyond recognition

the ones from neweys are good. be sure to use fork crimps with them, as ive seen numerous scortch marks from overheating terminations, where somebody has inserted the conductor on just one side of the screw!

Hi...We supply the Scame brand at very competitive prices, and we deliver everyday in and around Manchester...if you want some prices on a good European made isolator, let me know. Never had any complaints with these, and there is plenty of room inside...should be cheaper than Eddies too :)

I switched (pun unintended) from Gewiss to using apt ERL rotary isolators and like Mogga I like to go a current rating higher than normally required to get extra termination space.
