1 you don't run cables along listed walls.
Hense the post asking for alternatives.

2 with a digger.
Won't cutting through the roots of a 100+ year oak or other large trees undermine it and risk bringing it down?

3 find and fix the fault on the existing installation before adding anything new to it.
I have investigated a bit and found the garage circuit is tripping due to an old fluorescent light. This can be replaced. I have identified another cable on a kitchen fused spur that runs via two external bulkheads to the existing tree light, and turning this fused spur on sends power down the cable to the tree light and trips the kitchen RCD after about 10 seconds. Disconnecting this circuit at the last joint before the cable enters the ground towards the tree cures the tripping, and the existing cable entering the ground is very old and has visibly determinate.

When it comes to burying cables, I have a groundworker who does all the digging. I get him to give me a quote for any digging. He will decide if he can use a digger or it has to be hand dug. I then add his quote onto mine and then give this price to the customer. My groundworker liases with the customer when he quotes as to acceptable routes etc. Customer then decides if he want the work to go ahead.

A quick heads up. I dont actually get the groundworker to go round to every job before I quote. He would get fed up with me if he went to every job I quoted for that required digging as I dont get them all (like we would get ****ed of with builders if they got us to quote for every job they quote for). You know what some customers are like, they think a job will cost say £250 when in reality it could be best part of a grand. So I give the customer an estimate, informing them that this is dependant of how much the groundworker will charge and if they think that is ok then I get him in for an accurate price.

just had a look, if you go for the evo I'd defo use the booster panel option as well to minimise the chances of call backs for it not working in winter, the single panel looks pretty small.
