Rubber grommet on new consumer unit install - fire risk?

Apart from it being inflammable?

As is the plastic insulation on the cables, the plastic protective devices, any plastic grommets or glands used, the paper labels etc etc

And if you want to be pedantic the paint and the steel will combust if you get it hot enough.

only thing i'd perhaps do is to put a bit of gorilla snot glue on the grommet

They have been about for years, if they are not compliant
it would be pulled.

I’d love to hear of a fire that caused any damage because a grommet was incorrectly fitted.

The only issue I can see with anything like this is the fact that a blind grommet is effectively a cover which can be removed without the use of a tool (except the tool who is poking his/her fingers through the grommet hole of course!).
