Rumours of 12th December extension?

A newby here so please excuse any etiquette errors. Someone told me there was some gossip/chat on here of an extension to the 12 December deadline. I've searched and cannot find.

Does anyone know of any thread on this OR more importantly factual sources to prove this?

Some ******* selling Homebase sites called and told me there'd been a 12 week extension and would send me a link. A few happy moments before seeing it was a two-day old article saying waht labour would like. Either he's thick for not reading the article or he thinks i'm thick that I'll buy his ****** offer on a rumour.

But to answer your question all I've heard is rumour and (wishful) gossip.

Couldn't stand another short deadline - an extra month would be the worst outcome!

Not very likely and if there was an extension there would be no more fits scheme come the end of the extension as all money would be gone in the scheme

despite the fact they could easilly increase the budget with minimal effect on peoples bills!!
The scheme is effectively over for most people come April anyway

Agreed. No stopping the tide now - the bull**** machine is in full flow now.

It looks like EPC grade C nonsense is going to be tagged in too which is going to put the industry back 5 years.

I know some people think that this will lead to a rush in January but I sincerely doubt it.

The Green Deal is in trouble. The Insulation Industry have already said they expect installations to be at half the current level under the Green Deal. One of the reason among many our industry is being hung out to dry is an attempt to leverage a policy that is likely to fail before it is even launched.

The deadline will only change because of the legal challenges or the treat of them.
