Running Network cable next to power cable?

So the electrician made a hole in the outside wall to run the cable for the floodlights and in the same hole he threaded through the CAT 6 cable (shielded outdoor cable) for the POE camera.

Is this safe as I always thought you do not run network cable in the same conduit as electrical cables?

It is unlikely to cause you any issues.
And I can’t see any safety problems

Running cables in conduit is slightly different as normally they are single wires with only a primary insulation layer, what you describe would (I expect) be outdoor rated mains cable that has an overall secondary insulating sheath to protect it.

Another aspect can be interference between power & data cables, but CAT-6 style networking is quite tolerant of general noise and voltage surges as the individual data paths are twisted pairs and they usually have transformer coupling at the ends to prevent differences in ground potential causing problems.

So I would not be too worried.
