Running Seperate CPC to light fitting HELP PLEASE

Hi Guys

A customer wants to replace a class 2 fitting with a class 1 the lighting circuit does not have a CPC, I want to run a seperate 1.5mm CPC but as its less than 4mm does it need mechanical protection? And is it acceptable to only run it to the fitting in question?

Your help with this would be appreciated

hi guys

Just one thing as stated i will run 4mm, but this cable will take a completely different route to the line & neutral at the board and at the JB by light fitting it will be obvious that its CPC but through out the rest of the run it go any where whats to stop someone else coming along and thinking its an old undersized bonding conductor and cutting it out!!

Labels at the consumer unit will help

Depends on route. If coming thro loft, down inside of airing cupboard tucked by architrave, then under floor to light fitting, then I'd use a bit of 1.5.
