Scammer operating in Surrey

It has been reported to me today that a man wearing G4S uniform claiming to be from the National Grid is going door to door testing gas and electric.

The street concerned is Dunally Park, Shepperton, Surrey.

In short, this man has cold-called and entered into a clients property. He waved a volt stick about and made claims that the gas and electric services are unsafe. The client was very distressed and worried. He gave an emergency number for her to contact. Fortunately, my colleague was able to intervene and warn the client that this guy is a con artist.

This comes as secondary information to me as I'm not directly involved. I don't have a good visual description yet but I will post what I can find out.

We're making efforts to inform as many people as possible about this guy.

It's come out that he didn't actually give out a number. The client called my colleague instead. I'm just waiting for a description of this man. I posted as soon as I heard of this. What information we can gather from the neighbours, I will pass on to the authorities.

Aye, people got so used to him in blackpool his scams didn't work anymore so he moved to surrey WATCHOUT.:earmuffs:

Same applies to phone calls, emails etc.
If everyone followed that simple rule, the scammers would be finished.
