anyone noticed how the model forms in guidance note 3 only have 2 sections for insulation resistance

Live/Live
Live/Earth

as opposed to:

Line/Neutral
Line/Earth
Earth/Neutral

which IS included on the minor electrical installation works certificate

Because I think you will find that neutral is now classified as a Line conductor

Live conductor even. Not a line conductor.

beat me to it :D

but for the purposes of an insulation resistance test, neither conductor would be considered a live conductor. as the circuit hasn't been energised they would be line and neutral conductors.

i also notice they don't have three phase test sheets, even though 3 phase supplies are covered by 'the regs'

and the other stroke of genuis (cough) they came up with; it is no longer acceptable to refer to the line conductor as the 'phase' conductor

very ghey

I think it might be due to the fact the IEE are changing there referance terminology and we now have live / live return or to quote CG EX Board line and line return - yea i know dont ask

That annoyed me the most with the change in the Regulations. I was used to calling it the phase conductor.
