OK, I am not scheme registered, and can't see myself needing to be for a little while, but one thing has been bothering me and I am interested to know the answer.

You have to have two jobs for your assessment, with certificates. How do you do this without being registered? Catch 22?

I know there is a simple explanation and I look forward to it.

Many Thanks.

with napit and elecsa, you can do 2 notifiable jobs before your assessment ( LABC require notification within 30 days ) and, once you have passed the assessment and paid your scheme fee then your new scheme provider will notify LABC.

you can issue a certificate when not regestered but you cant notify so what you have to do is advise building control you are doing the work then get them to inspect it which costs an arm and leg or be naughty and bend the rules and notify after youve been assesed you should do it like that the first option is the correct one .....say's me whistling to my self

ÂŁ200 - ÂŁ300. a bit steep if you're bunging a couple of downlights in a bathroom.

it was round here ÂŁ175 like telex has said napit and elecsa will allow 2 notifiable jobs so go with that or like me and whistle lol

When I joined Elecsa they were happy with just the one job and advised me to notify it after I'd joined. Very nice chap who assessed me too.
