Has anybody got any experience with these drives?

More specifically the Altivar12 and an external run/stop command.

Ive replaced a faulty obsolete Telemecanique unit for this, its direct replacement and it is exactly the same unit but I cant get the existing run command (Only a switch) to work with the new unit. It will only stop it, you have to press run on the drive.

Getting no reply from Schneider themselves :nonod:

You will have to change the run command from the key pad to the intelligent inputs or what ever they are called on that drive.

Push button or rotary switch?

I set up several of these drives just before Christmas and even a seemingly simple task like the one you're trying to do can get complicated. This is the info I have immediately to hand.

PM me with a list of what you'd like and an email address, I'll mail them to you.

Some of the files shown are duplicates, I just ran a search and it picked up my resource file and my backup on another drive.

Thanks Marvo Ill do just that...

Its like a rocket scientist has designed the quick start guide, it took 15 minutes of staring endlessly to actually understand it LOL

Yep, they're good drives but they're not very intuitive to program until you've got at least a few days experience with them.

The one thing I did notice about them was that they ran very warm compared to other makes of drives. This was the same all the way across the range from 1.5kW up to 7.5kW. I manufactured stainless steel enclosures to house the drives individually with what I thought would be adequate surface area for heat dissipation but they were far short of the mark and I ended up installing forced ventilation in all of them. We consulted with the main agents over this and they assured us that this was normal and was within the published spec and so far they've been reliable but it was an anomaly I was not keen on.

I rarely do them Marvo, they just seem logical as they are very basic on comparison to some of the stuff I have had to work with!

Over 2k parameters to set up is a LOT to have to do, software not helpful, essential!

Yes, I've never had an issue in swapping one out, old for new, one type for another, or even swapping out to another make of inverter completely, or the converse to be honest, they are very basic drives.
Altivars and their kin from other makers.

I sent you all four manuals because I'm not sure which of the quickstart books you already have. My internet isn't the fastest so they may be a few minutes or so.
