M.G SquareD are now Shcnider they have been trading asseperate brands for a few years but recently Schnider became the "Brand" name wonder how long till the KQ square D rcbos n mcbs are as expensive as the QO range ffs another reason for them to rip off people And make sparks look as if they are ripping folk off Joe bloggs sees a mcb for ÂŁ10 and rcbo for ÂŁ25-ÂŁ30 in Big shed then when he needs one its now ÂŁ25 for MCB and ÂŁ75-ÂŁ100 for RCBO before sparks markup its nearly cheaper to get new c.u if 2 rcbos are required
Iv got remedials for PIR to do where SquareD db is surrounded by trunking so cant replace unless I can get one exact same size it needs 5 RCBOs and 4 mcbs replaced luckily gaffer took note of the big SQUARE D QO bit I put on the PIR

alone
coz BG arent the best known n personaly I wouldnt trust a c.u that cheap when an RCD is around ÂŁ30

it's not that the board is a cheapie, or of poor quality. b&q are using them as a loss leader. i have fitted several of these CUs and find them to be at least as good as any other.

I thought 'loss leadering' was illegal business practice in the UK.

it cant be. Think of how many BOGOF deals there are, and how many buy this, and get this free deal there are about. they are loss leaders, although if the practice is illegal, then the shops would package it up as something else.
