Discuss Schneider electric consumer units in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I find them a bit tight on space, you have loads of space above MCBs, but you can't hide wires behind busbar area. Last one I did didn't look as tidy as I would have liked. Well made and solid though.

Haha it's a shame about Wylex.........I remember the days when they made some decent stuff. Same is true of a lot of stuff these days. Mind you, how many (or few) parent companies now own all these different brands?

I avoid Wylex these days. By the way, is there a sure way of checking which MCBs are affected? Date code?

Yes, the info is on the Electrium website for the faulty Volex, Wylex and ? MCB's. They won't pay you for swapping them anymore and don't reply to emails or letters. Arsewipes, in my opinion, no idea about customer service.

Anybody have any opinions/experience with the Doepke products? We provide their full range to our solar customers but we've never approached the general electricians market before,

Cheers
