Anyone used the new range of DB and Breakers? Look really smart and the DBs seem to have a bit extra space. Impressed from what I have seen.

Yes mate fitted one a couple of week ago nice boards .
I presume you mean the acti 9 range

Yeah the KQ breakers and metal clad DBs, fitted one just before Christmas was really impressed and happy with them, makes a change from staring at the same stuff all the time, can't wait to do a fully loaded 12 way TP board in January with the stuff! Will get a picture up when it's done for anyone who hasn't got a clue what I'm on about!

Depends what type of install you're doing. If it's the odd domestic DB then Schneider is a silly brand to use, if it's heavy commercial or industrial then I'd say it's one of the only brands (now that Merlin has been rebranded Schneider) worth using!

Totally agree on the large commercial / industrial side. Haven't used anything else for the last 20+ years or so, for both LV and MV. Tell a lie, we had ABB for the main MV switchboard on one project, but the RMU's were all MG....

Commercial and industrial...

I've stared to use Hager more instead...

Schneider/Merlin is a fortune these days we got 3 16a rcbos recently and they were touching ÂŁ200!! Just ridiculous. The most common make we come across is dorman smith which IMHO is decent kit and easy to work with. The 3ph boards are good
