Never used a 18v SDS be interesting to see battery life. Does look good for the price can only praise Bosch tools had a 36v 3 function going for 6 years now with a lot of use.

I have this kit. Excellent piece of gear. 18v sds is good but only really for drilling holes for red and brown plugs. Not geared up for drilling anything much bigger.

I love my old Bosch 24V.
I especially like the LEDs on the batteries, to indicate the state of cherge.
I did have occasion to use one of those 18V SDS drills a couple of weeks ago.
Very impressed.
Not up to some of the jobs the 24V can tackle, much quicker than a percussion drill, and quite light in weight.

Are you being serious here?? A combi drill is more than capable of drilling holes for red and brown plugs 99% of the time. A good 18V SDS is capable of a good deal more than that, i can assure you!!

If you are thinking of spending that sort of cash then I would go for the Panasonic SDS 28 volt with tough IP. Got mine for 400 notes and it seems bullet proof. You can get it local from a builders merchant in Newtownards I=p/u

The ip rating is good probably if drilling 8mm anchors all day above you head but that Milwaukee sds says 2.4 j same as most 24v drills and same as that panasonic and says in masonry upto 24mm

only problem I see with this kit is the combi drill isn't the newest version with brushless motor but can't have it all
