Discuss SDS+ drill at Lidl for £35 in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Looks good for 35.00 I will try and get one.I always feel a bit dismayed seeing nice new expensive drills being used for electrical work and getting all covered in plaster dust and grot.

I bought a similar one a few years ago and abused it daily for drilling and chasing. The connection on the trigger and one of the brushes failed an it gets really hot when core drilling for more than 2 hours at a time (3 fans in 600mm granite stone walls). It's still working, I had to repair the connections and add grease to the gearbox on more than one occasion but I failed in destroying it. I suppose I could have tried harder...

Bought one today, checked the contents and did a dry run. Looks OK but when I used smaller bits with the chuck, the bits seemed to wobble. Hey... hey, I wanted an electric chisel and I have got it for just £34.99... and guess what, it’s German made. I don’t complain.

lidl are pretty good if you don't like the product too. I bought some motorbike comms kit last year and it wasn't very good when I tried it out. I took it back and got a full cash refund with no argument

It's 35 quid!! It has a 3 year guarantee!!! How can you go wrong?? Even if you keep it as a reserve SDS it has to be worth it all day long...

Unlike other budget tool outlets, Lidl tools tend to be a lot better than most, I and a friend here have been purchasing quite a few of Lidl tools since they opened up branches over here. To be honest we haven't had a bad one yet, they do what they say on the box!! lol!!!

Got 1 the last time there were on sale,
Cant fault it give it loads of abuse and its still going strong, even got a light to tell ya when the bushes are gone!
Iv had my £35 quids out if it over and over.
Theres some good stuff to be had in lidls on these themed weeks.
Bought a tank bag for my bike its about 3 years old and still as good as knew and still glues itself to my tank every time :D
Plenty of rubbish in there but the odd bargain to boot.
