Hi, I am an apprentice looking to buy my first cordless SDS. Does anybody use the Dewalt 18v XR Li-ion SDS and what do they think, or what do you reccomend have a max of around £350?

i have the 18v sds xr its a gud gun but u need the 4ah battery to get the best from it , i also use the 24v dewalt nicad in work which is a more powerfull and all tound better gun but the batterys dont stay charged for long

I use a Bosch hammer 24v sds, i've had it about 10 years and it still going strong, the battery could do with replacement now but its a cracking bit of kit

You cant buy the 24v Bosch new though can you? And they aren't 3 function are they?

yeah that put me off the bosch 18v li , only 2 functions

No they're 36v now but they are 3 function, mine isn't but i wouldn't want to use any cordless for chasing anyway

Ive seen the Dewalt with 2x 4ah batteries for £325, Is this a good price? and also are the Dewalts good quality and will last?

hit and miss. if you get a good one they will last.

a mate off mine had his combi from same range break after a couple months, the replacement is still going strong after a year.

thats a good price u can also register it online for a 3 year warranty

For anyone interested look into hitachi. Seriously underrated and amazing customer service.
