I'm the Security Manager on a mine site in Sierra Leone. We have to fit LED floodlights to the perimeter to light up the site, so that you will be able to at least see any intruders moving around at night, and if possible, identify them as well. The mine is an underground mine/decline, but the infrastructure on the outside, which must be lit up, is about 300 meters across. From what I could find on internet, 200w LED floodlights seem to the size to go with, and each covers around 100m x 100m?. Can someone please tell me how many floodlights I'll need to cover the site, at what distances should they be put apart, and what height will be effective? Should I fit lights at the middle of the site as well, or will the light from the perimeter reach the inside? Will a 6KVA generator be enough to energize all the flood lights? Thank you!
