Self employed or stay put

Hello everyone I'm new to here, I've worked for the same company now for the last 13 years and keep debating whether to grow wings and fly the nest and go into the world of self employed but can't decided as people say about chasing the money but on the other hand I've spoke to other sparks on site they have all said self employed all the way what do you all think on here.

Why not move to another company ?

Remember going SE is fraught with difficulties, especially in the early years plus you will lose holiday and sick pay, pensions,

It's not bad but overworked not appreciated putting others people's work right being sent here one day here the next you know how it is

Seems to be a lot of money about in manchester at the minute , let's hope the work load stays for distant future

That's true Nigel that's why I keep on thinking about is best to try with all the work that's happening in and around Manchester,and touch wood wouldn't be out of work for too long

Yeh I'm also cards in for last 9 year , never really get work closer than 30mile away and are thinking on similar lines to you , manchester airport would be a good no. To get on when it kicks off
