Had to send my DiLog 9083p back to DiLog today as the poor thing's died! The girl on the phone said it could be 2-3 weeks, but I'm hoping she was giving me a worst case scenario (screen is going 'FUSE' so hopefully it will just be a fuse). Has anyone dealt with DiLog repairs (or repairs under warranty in general) who knows how long it's likely to be?

Also contacted my local Alpha to see if they would repair it any quicker but they can't repair it at all. They are hiring a fluke MFT, but I've never used one. ÂŁ75 plus vat for a week, and he said he may be able to do a day rate for ÂŁ30! Does anyone know of any firm that does rental of MFTs, preferably DiLog and/or cheaper?

Trying to line up a couple of telly aerials, anything else anyone can think of that I can do for the next three weeks?? Isn't it amazing how one tool can totally stop work!?!

my old work some smart fart managed to blank out the megger PAT Tester n were quoted ÂŁ350 jus tto open and look maybe mr Megger will be able to help here with advice as sending an item like MFT/PAT is a bit off when the item isnt valued at the cost of repair ?

And they keep it for a week or two when doing the repair, when they quote those figures I'm guessing they just quote for an entire replacement of all the internal circuit boards :D still it helps for technical support when you have family working there ;)
