I know segen sell them - who else do you guys use - I've got my first one to do next week 16 panels ...

Thx

How are you guys connecting to the router?

I'm doing my first solar edge next week and I was going to take a Cat 5 cable from the inverter to the customers router and hard wire it.. It seems you are not doing this and are using some sort of wireless adaptor. Could you point me in the right direction, might save me a couple of hours.

Search for homeplug powerline adapters on Google. It's by far the easiest way to transfer an ethernet connection anywhere in a house. You will need a pair of them if the home owner doesn't have them already. What they cost in value should more than be saved in time trying to route a cat5 cable neatly unless the router is right next to the inverter.

That could be a bit of a dreamer for me as the inverter is right next to the D.B so I can just wire a socket from the D.B, plug this in one end, and plug the other in next to the router. patch cables to connect the data side and I'm in bussiness?

Just need some luck with the monitoring side of things now!

Cheers!

the download seems to be offline- Maybe they're updating it. Have to say though, just installed our first Solar Edge and wow- it's brilliant!! Done 26kW today

Ours appears to be cutting out above 253v. Not sure how to go about changing it though. Will need to do some investigating tomorrow.

They will work, really is a great system, Monitoring is pretty easy, I used the Iphone app for the design and uploaded the .xml file they emailed me over to me. Not the prettiest of designs on the portal, maybe I done it wrong:p
