Hi,
I need a short height 6 way consumer unit around 200mm total external height or less, in order to fit above a doorway. It is replacing an existing bs 1361 fusebox.
Can be RCD as I expect rcbos to be ruled out due to being taller anyway.
Any ideas? Not even sure if such a beast exists, may have to troll thru all the Manu's specs.
The alternative will necessitate extending all the cables to reach around to an adjacent wall, which would be a real drag.. Literally!
Cheers in advance..

I had exactly this issue two weeks ago. The MK garage unit was all I could find that would physically fit the space. It worked well in the end, but working space inside the unit is tight as there is little space between the top of the breakers and the earth/neutral bars. There's a lot of wasted space below the busbar and no room for expansion to an additional RCD or RCBOs. Still, it's better than the burned out 3036 deathtrap that it replaced.

I ve just discovered exactly the problems described above, after having fitted the garage unit. Getting the meter tails in is the worst bit. Its poorly designed - as there is lots of room under the busbar but precious little above the breakers.. Still I reckon I can make it work..
