No, better off battering them, stick em in a big fat fryer, and sell slices on the street corner. Might work in Scotland.

Call the police. Simples.

You can always drop any charges later if they agree to pay for the damage.

And if they refuse to finish the 'other' job, well there's always plenty of plumbers about.
I wouldn't use them again anyway after that

Write down NOW a statement of what happened the contact details of the witness, take photos of your van(and if possible their van) showing the damage, get it all written up whilst you remember the details. This may help later.

Get them to pay by whatever (legal) means necessary.

Report it to the police and get an incident number, contact your insurance and explain the situation no need to put in a claim just because you speak to them. Revenge is sweet but bloody painful if you loose so do it legal. Oh but a ball bearing in each dust cap will give him flat tyres all round with no evidence of tampering as they drop out when cap removed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with R
Go through your insurance.
The coppers won't be interested in the slightest. No one has been injured.

i think the polis would be very interested, choose from reckless driving, criminal damage, driving without due care, endangering other road users,id expect a ban and a large fine for doing that, shop the pair of them mate, what thay done was way beyond site banter, pair of chancers deserve all the grief they will get..

Whilst they carried out this jolly jape, what would have happened if a young kid had run out, doubtful they would have seen. Doesn't bear thinking about.

id be surprised if told the truth the insurance co would pay out,it wasnt an accident it was willful damage,no doubt the insurance co's have a clause for that.then you would have to claim against the old git and hopalong personally, will cost them an arm and a leg..so one of them is in real trouble..

1. Get medieval on their asses with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. Or

2. Rip peg legs leg off and beat the old git with it. Or

3. Bang 500v through the both of them!

I could go on and on...

Don’t get in to the retribution game!

Things escalate out of hand. The fitter I worked with backed the works van into my car. Two days in the body shop to put right, hire car to get to work, etc. The company paid out so nothing on my insurance.

He wasn’t happy to find his motorbike in a skip. I’d put an old mattress in first before very carefully lowering the bike in with a crane.
He caused the damage getting it out.

Typical thick fitter,

I’d parked the crane just around the corner with the nylon strops still on the hook. He didn’t see it! It’s only 25’ long and 12’ high, painted bright yellow!

I got carpeted by the manager (who couldn’t keep his face straight). I got away with a verbal warning and had to promise not to do it again.
