I am a trainee plus it won't let me post a new thread anywhere but here via tapatalk

We just finished 4 days of testing at a big well known tile and bathroom company, today I was doing the remedial work, downstairs was in 5/6 sections and 2 failed when tested because no earth continuity, they either wrapped the earth back around the grey pvc (no sheathing) or like the picture just didn't connect it, this was on all lights on the sections that didn't work, or like the picture I found 4 lights wired like this....they did work fine though haha.....I'm guessing I'll find this many many many more times in the future?

I just trimmed them back and married them up and secured them in a choc box

think about how a flat twin is constructed...

in future lets see the CPC being connected on the middle terminal of that block of three connector block shall we..

(especially important when connecting loops for downlights.....eliminate them crossovers)....;)

Yes Glenn, I have learnt not to put it back how it was...it was a long day and I had done a ton...all today they were corrected with the cpc in the middle :)

^^^^^ Yes Chris, I've got to tread carefully myself on this one lol.^^^^^

I made just short of £2k last year fixing what those muppets "installed"!!!! Seems like your making some money from their rubbish work!

Electricians do it once and we do it right.

Chris a pic of a corrected one would carry more weight, for all we know you could be telling little fibbies

2k very nice....me and the spark have just been given you go a head to test every store in the UK....It's 45k worth of work (not including remedial work) and we have tested the biggest which took 4 days...should have it all finished by end of the summer

What I find a little bit interesting is that there was an era of MFT's e.g. Robin, early Kewtech that tried to do non-trip loop tests using D-Lok...
