Should i get norton antivirus, internet security or norton 360?

Norton is such a resource hog, I took it off my fathers pc and installed the free Avast and it was like a new machine.

I my self have been using the free Avast for years and have never had any trouble with it. Microsoft security essentials is also good.

I have Kaspersky internet security commercial with three licences throw my personal internet banking and is very good,
also use spyboot search and destroy to clean the cookies which come with every website .

I've used Norton, NOD32, Avast, AVG, McAfee and Kaspersky in the past. My thoughts would be:

Dont touch Norton - it may protect well but it slows systems so much it may as well be a virus especially as it is almost impossible to remove it!
NOD32 is ok and doesn't affect system performance that much - however we got a virus while using it
AVG is good but the free version is not allowed for business users
AVAST is also great but not for business users
McAfee is ok but slows systems more than others and is annoying due to constant update requests and sales emails
Kaspersky is good, doesn't cost the earth, is reliable and doesn't slow systems too much.

I'm not an expert, I do know a little but these are only my opinions so please don't take me apart for them!

I should say that I use Avast myself...

Microsoft's Security Essentials, combined with Firewall, is perfectly adequate for any general domestic scenario. I've been running them both for 18 months and not been infected once in that time.

Just trying out "Panda Cloud Antivirus Free" seems ok with minimal resources and updates via Cloud.

Normally use Avast though with no problems

norton antivirus is used only for system based, while internet security is based for online purpose too. I didnt heard about norton 360..

No dont get Norton. hogs all your RAM and slows your cpu. use AVG its also free.

google it.

Are they the same? Do i get all 3 or getting just one of them is enough?
These days, free anti-virus solutions are fantastic.

Persnoally, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials, which is a consumer anti-malware solution for computers. It helps protect against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It's available as a no-cost download for Windows XP SP2 and higher, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
