I've recently watched Dave at EEVBlog changing the batteries in a $4500 Chord Hugo DAC and it got me thinking about my audio equipment. I was thinking of first upgrading my power leads. I was looking at one of these Nordost Odin 2 I would need a 2.5m lead which at ÂŁ32,375 seems quite a bargain. It only comes with the QSA Silver fuse. Should I upgrade to the Gold Fuse ? At ÂŁ8,000 for the fuse I think I should. But should I go for the optional burn in on both items? It would save me the wait for the cable to settle in.
I'm sure the above would really show me a big difference in my Amstrad HiFi.

Talking s h i t e again?

“Oh but this is the pinnacle of white light switch… universally coloured to any decoration choice. Yours for only £2,500.00!”

I note it has "80% Velocity of Propagation". I didn't know they made V iagra for cables.

I like the following quote about the fuses :-

Please note: fuses are directional, so please ensure you install your fuse accordingly. If you are unsure of the correct direction, simply try it both ways. You should hear a difference.

Oh these audiophiles are a totally gullible bunch :tonguewink:

I would like to know what sort of music these people listen to. I've just got this image of them spending ÂŁ32k on a lead and then listening to a bit of Napalm Death. Slipknot would be fine but Napalm Death would be a step too far :)
