Hello, this morning I was having a shower with really really hot water. Shower lasts at least 15 minutes... at the end shower circuit breaker tripped.
It does not work any more, when I try to switch it on, it does not "keep the position".
I have a brand new circuit breaker, bought some time ago just in case, do you think I can replace it or the fault can be more important and you suggest to call a professional?
Thanks :)

It started to work again... just tried to switch on the MCB (the old one, I did not change it) and now the shower works... :drunk:

I'm gonna call an electrician in any case, but in your opinion can I have a shower? Is there any risk? I'm a newbie, but if the shower is faulty can the electricty pass "through it" and shock me?

You obviously have a fault, either on the shower or the wiring, I would leave it well alone until the Electrician give you the all clear or make any repairs that are required.

No do not use the shower, the fault could return with you in the shower, get it repaired before you use it.

Its not just a case of swapping the mcb in the hope that the problem will be sorted. The mcb is there to protect you, the electrical circuit and the accessory. When it trips, its like when a fuse blows in a plug for example, it trips for a reason.
The fault could be a number of things, something simple or it could also mean your safety is at risk.
Best advice - listen to the folks above ^^^ Call in a professional to assess the situation.
