Shower control

Hi

I just looked at a job that I have to price,basically part of some of the job is there are two electric showers in the house which aren't connected but are wired.
What he wants is me to connect up the two showers through one of those units that only lets one be used at a time..Thats the easy bit,what he also wants is both showers to be run off seperate meters as one of the showers will be in part of the house that he is making into a apartment.
My question is,and I have a pain in my head trying to think of a answer but is there anyway to wire it that one shower will be off one meter but still wired through the contactor unit to only allow one on at a time?

Can't see how it's going to work mate if all the cables go back to the board.There is only 1 meter at the property for the entire house including the apartment.Why does he want it done like that

Can you not just put the shower in the apartment through a meter (recon - cheapo job) then he can deduct one meter reading from his official one ?

I had a job like this once in a Gym, in the end had to get a panel built i think the only way to do is by seprate meter and deducting reading from meterthats cheaper than a panel build

Aye I know about putting in a seperate meter and deducting the readings what I meant was if I wire the two showers through the priority shower contactor unit how can I meter the two seperate?

Just put the meter on the outgoing feed to the shower you want to measure?

Yeah but its not just the shower I need seperate there will be sockets,lights,cooker also going through the other meter

You didn't say that ! ;-)

Then you'll have to have the feed from the 'contactor unit' (as you call it) going to a contactor to bring the shower unit on. This way you can have the units unable to work at the same time as eachother and yet they are on seperate circuits or even seperate boards. Let me know if you dont quite get it and i'll have a go at a sketch for you.
