Shower help

Girl rang me said her shower wasn't working went round pulled the cord light came on, on the switch. Turned the shower on at the shower and not only does it not work but the light in the pull cord goes out! Any ideas??

Problem with the switches is the room for the cables is very limited and even if tight when terminated they can work loose as you screw the switch to the base..... catch 22 senerio

So who fitted the new switch? Why weren't they called? Who's been meddling?

Sorry forgot to say connections all grand. 240 up to shower. And continuity on live, neutral n earth all 100%, I was blaming the shower as the wiring up to it is all ok.
