Has anyone made any funny cock ups at work ? I once wired the wrong garage , i was told to go start wiring a garage one afternoon so got the directions , drove down the street i was supposed to and spotted a brand new double garage , informed the homeowner i was there to wire his garage ,he was chuffed didnt realise anyone was coming that day , so did an afternoons work , went to work the next day and my bossed said where did you go yesterday i had a builder phone me ask where u were , it turned out there was another brand new double garage being built on that street , woops
 
Just done a periodic today with 6x 6 way D.Bs and about 3 pages of defects so plenty paperwork. loaded the van up an drove off. If was at the roundabout onto the duel carrigeway i saw the folder slide of my roof and the paperwork scatter everywhere. I couldnt do a uturn so lost the lot. I still havent worked out what to say to the boss as i have to go back to do it all again.:(:(:confused::confused:

Dammmm thats crap luck m8 if it makes you feel better few yrs back near local shops to my old 2ndry school there was a taxi that drove off and the driver left his money bag on the roof next min the street was scatterd in notes ! i wasnt there but was told by all my m8's there was quite a few grand scatterd about and it was windy as well he didnt reolise and carried on driving out of sight !
i was ill that day so day off :mad: all my m8s had 200 smokes and new sneakers lol.
How crap is that for the taxi guy ?

during my apprenticship, i wired a ringmain in 1.0mm 3core/e:p in my deffence it did look like 2.5 t/e

Ha Ha I did exactly the same thing, was only when i was loading up the van at the end of the day I realised. First day back off holiday, third year apprentice too !! Boss went ape !!. Glad someone else has done it.
 
I was using a wall chaser the other day with a pipe to attach a vacuum cleaner.

I found out the hard way that the vacuum cleaner actually needs to be SWITCHED ON to get rid of an dust!!
 
A freind of someone i was doing a C&Gs course with apparently was sent to cut in a resessed outdoor meterbox so he marked out box on wall drilled a big hole at each corner and then used consaw to finish, he then was walking bak to van to get lump hammer to knock out blocks when he peered thru kitchen window to see nothing but dust as it turned out it the kitchen used to be a single walled garage before being converted. :eek::eek::eek::eek:

got an electric shock today as i took down an emergency light. I had isolated circuit and proved dead but forgot to disconnect batteries and my METAL watch stap went across the invertor!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ouch
