Is it possible to limit the output of a SB4000TL to 3.68kW on the bench, conecting it to AC only, before it goes out to site, or does it need both AC and DC to enable the bluetooth to link up with Sunny Data Control and the software to work?
 
As to the point about fitting a 4000tl under g83 my network operator( sottish power ) have told me that from march 2012 the relaxation rule has elapsed and all systems above 16a must go in on ag59 so not limmiting an sma 4000TL would not now be legal without pryor permission. hope this makes sence and i am understanding what the the DNO technition has told me, perhaps tedm or Bruce might enlighten me further.

Therefore as it is a Guidance Note, some DNO's are still applying it untill it is replaced. Of course if as a DNO you want to you, you can enforce a G59 application, in the same way that some of the DNO's never adopted it anyway and always insisted on a G59 application for systems around 50kWp....
