Could you not just pack out a normal sized one to fit?

...Funny ,how that comma can provide such whimsy :icon12:

Ledlenser is very good kit,as is the Petyl (if correctly spelled!) i have one in my jeep,i think it is the latter. It has a LED headlight, and front/rear markers for the unicycle (...i know) but,it also has a PIR on the front, which, with a wave of the hand, turns it on/off.

This is invaluable,in saving battery life,or with mucky paws. It did require the application of some sticky tape,as it was a bit sensitive.

Sliding under floor joists turned in to a seventies disco, with vision, only every other one...:conehead:

i had a led lenser rechargeable, the flex from battery pack broke so i butchered it, wish i read the box as it has five year warranty ! **** i am!,
got £12 look alike from flea bay, very good for the money, going to get another as i do call outs so always have a full charge in the van.

I have had the same petzl one for around three years now and still works fine. It's ideal for close up working as when the batteries are fresh it has a red filter that you can shield the LED's with to stop it being uncomfortably bright. Just looked at their range and it's basically a petzl tikka 2. I wanted a simple head torch without a separate battery pack and I don't like the band that goes over the top of your head. The tikka is light and comfy and stays in place on your heed!

I swap the batteries maybe once every three months, it is generally not used for extended periods week in week out though.

I also have a lenser hand torch which is equally excellent. This failed after two years but lenser happily sent out a replacement part free of charge quickly. It was under guarantee still.

So both brands are excellent, so take your pick! Am sure you will be happy with either.

Don't buy cheap, cos you end spending a fortune on replacing the batteries, especially if you leave it on walking round the site all day....now where did I leave that head torch. Get rechargeable.
