49.8kWh?! Brilliant stuff. Looks great too!

Apparently the trackers do 20-45% more than roof mounted system - this is definitely in the 45% end of the scale.

How about over 600 kWhrs in a week against an annual prediction of 14,000 , should have been 300 , perfect South about half a mile from the sea, on the cliffs near Swanage. This performance mainly due to the constant sea breeze we think, as the warmer it gets the more breeze near the coast . This is 72 Schott Mono 195 to a 15000TL inverter.

some nice looking systems here. I like the free standing 16 panel unit above, maybe the answer to the didgy roof on the property we are moving into.
where do these come from?

probably cheaper than re roofing, plus scaffold and mouting kit, or are they really that expensive!!

whats the planning situation with these?

Unless you're planning on re roofing with gold tiles, then probably not. They cost an absolute fortune - consider concrete footings and cable runs as well and it's getting very expensive

You could make one with an added sun tracker, a retired nuclear scientist customer of our has done it ..... he made two !!

Forgot to mention this system can change the angle of the modules as well as the direction faced !!

It was an expensive system but that is what the customer wanted and if it continues to produce these figures on good days then It will be a good investment.

Also with trackers you have to allow for motor breakdowns (and they are not cheap), and sensors.

The beauty of Pv, when it has been installed well, it is simple, no moving parts, and if you have a decent inverter that is suited to the system, there is no reason why it will not run for years with no maintenance at all.

If space is not an issue, you could have a much larger ground mounted system for the same price, so you could probably generate more KWH's for less money and take out the risk of any breakdowns.

All that said, the figures are impressive and it will be great if it works for 25 years without a problem

out of curiosity how do you do a SAP calc on a tracker?
If you were a stickler for the MCS guidance, then you'd just have to tell the customer you had no idea what the system would produce. Personally I'd go with PVGIS, because it was designed by people with half a braincell, and a lot of data, and gives you the options for vertical, horizontal and both trackers.

But then that be my answer 99.99% of the time anyway, as SAP's just a jobs for the boys at BRE project, nothing to do with providing customers with accurate information.
