SMEG large oven not heating

Hi

I wonder if anyone could shed some light on the cause of my SMEG DO4 SS-5 not heating up. The fan, internal light and clock are all on but just no heat.

I have read that it maybe the , Thermostat, Cut- Out switch or heating element.

I have the double oven and it is the large clock operated oven which is at fault.

If someone can assist that would be appreciated.

UPDATE - Domestic chappy attended and replaced the heating element with the new one rated at 2500 watts. It seems to be working fine - so the wife says!!!

Thanks for the update, glad it's all working now! Hope we all helped in some way!

Probably good enough as the rated element @2700Watts will be to get the oven to max temp (usually around 250degC) and that's hardly ever needed. The oven will be thermostatically contolled and not just a simple rheostat!
