so who offers the best deal for electricity?

Been following a couple threads on here and have educated myself with certain responses. So the big question is apart from the big six who else can provide electricity at a good rate? I am with edf and would not mind switching. Anybody got any hidden gems they would share?

Try uswitch.com for starters. There's a few smaller and cheaper players out there.

2nd best usually co-operative energy (their boss was one of the guys that did turn up to the panel)

I switch to N-power they had a fixed deal till 2017, i joined this before the announcement and initially it would cost me £50 more on my existing deal but once set up and fixed the 10% rise was announced and i am now already better of next your by at least a £100 ... this option wont show at the top of the compare list as you start by paying more than your current bill but over 4 yrs you are quids in ... if for some big miracle prices plummet you can leave at any time no penalty fee.

Was talking to a customer the other day who is with ovo, reckons he's paying less now than he was in 2007! Never heard of them before and then see them on the telly slating the others!
My own personal choice is a spare gas meter and a slightly mis-wired Leccy meter!

There's a whole series of byeuks (books) on that very subject. "Larn yersel' Geordie" and "Advanced Geordie Palava" are just 2 of them and we have our very own version of the Bible as well.

Google "Mike Neville and George House" The were Tyne Tees Television presenters who got together to make some VERY funny recordings about the language.

George died several years ago, but Mike - although long retired - is still with us.
