Socket backboxs

How many sparkys on here earth the metal backboxs for domestic sockets ( linking the earth from the socket to the backbox)?

ok pinto but disconection times with rcd's or rcbo's are so fast that you couldnt even nick a cable

Providing that the RCD is working correctly have come accross loads that are not.

I think what Danzor means is that the circuit CPC is taken to the back box first and then to the socket, which IMO is bad practice.

I've always done this but i dont cut the wire i just sleeve the 1st 2-3 inch's then bend over to leave enough to terminate into bb and sleeve rest to skt so no break in cpc
