I couldn't agree more Pete. Now, I am not saying that some people could not make a transition, or get trained up from another trade or role, if they have a degree of practical skills and the determination to progress down a proper path. And I know it is not easy, and there probably is a shortage of companies or people who would take on a more mature trainee, but with determination it can be done. My brother in law literally does not know which end of a screwdriver to hold and the thought of him doing one of these courses and then trying to pass himself off as an electrician makes my eyes water, but I am sure there are people like him who do it, you only have to look at some of the pathetic questions seen on here from time to time. How they manage to get through the day I don't know, I guess they just don't give a ****. At the end of the day what cheeses me off is the likes of this guy masquerading as an electrician and offering his services to unsuspecting customers when he patently does not have a clue what he is about. But unfortunately, this seems to be par for the course these days, the country seems to be full of and run by far too many people who really don't have much of a clue what they are doing. Oh well whats on telly tonight?
