Socket Wattage (Design).....

Hi guys,

I'm designing an installation as part of an assignment. For this assignement I need to install lighting and power in a new pool and cafe block.

I've pretty much finished up on the tables we need to fill in but I'm completely stuck when it comes to sockets. I have multiple radial circuits over 3 phases which are balanced but in order to complete the tables I need to enter wattage to get Ib etc etc. Obviously, you never know exactly what will be plugged in to each socket at any given time so couldn't give a solid number, but surely there must be some average or maximum I can enter? This has been driving me mad all wekend!

Any help would be appreciated.

The maximum demand for these circuits is equal to their protective device rating, any more and they would overload and the protective device would operate.

For example, for a ring final circuit protected by a 32a mcb, 32A would be the maximum demand.

Diversity will thin these values down when it comes to doing your maximum demand for the whole installation.

So basically I would enter 32A converted to watts = 7360?

I always allow 300w per double socket that's being used for a computer.

That's what I was taught.
