Sockets not working, why?

Can I ask if anyone can give any advice please.

I am in Scotland.
Well in a nutshell:

Electric Kept tripping - did not know why
Electrican came out to check, said Neutral/Earth was wrong way around on one socket, and switched them back he said.
Soon after half the sockets in flat stopped working.
Electric still kept tripping.
Another electician came over days later, could not find issue and recomended a rewire.
Electric still kept tripping.
I checked under sink and discovered there was a leak from kitchen sink which was leaking onto the spuidly placed socket under sink which washing machine was connected too. I removed washing machine plug and never used this socket again under sink (and fixed leak from kitchen sink).
Electric no longer trips (unless for a good reason) - however, still have half the sockets not working in flat.

Can I ask is electric safe how it is now?

Nice bit of labelling on the consumer unit there.... put the MCBs that are off back on and see if they come on. If not try ANOTHER electrician, possibly one from here, were not a bad bunch on the whole ?

I am afraid you really need a 3rd opinion from a good local spark.
Not impressed with the service you have received from either of them.

Also, the amount of times that polarity is reported as wrong ( N/E reversed etc.) is incredible, plug in testers although they claim to tell you what the fault is, often lie.
It is likely that’s there was or still is a fault on the circuit but it may not have been identified and repaired correctly.
When the next spark visits, show them the socket that has had the wiring swapped and ask for it to be checked .

Don’t pay either of the mugs who have been so far. Get a decent lad in. The one who recommended a rewire off a fault is a joke just going off one fault unless you have rubber or lead cables in, which I doubt cause that board is only 5 years old at most, unless you changed the board yourself.

At a guess, I'd say you've found and resolved the initial problem. The problems you are now experiencing are down to the first "sparks" "fix".

Get him back to find out what he did to resolve the "neutral/earth issue"

That would be impossible to say sunnyset, and also irresponsible without first seeing your install. You just need to get a decent electrician in. The best way to find one is word of mouth, ask friends and neighbours. Otherwise, look for someone on here.

Yes. Scotland is a relatively big place, but there’s members here from Aberdeenshire, Glasgow and the Borders (hi!)
Maybe one is close.

I’m surprised either electrician left the house still with a fault. Glorified handymen by the sounds of it
