Sodium light

Hi all have job to fit a 70w sodium bulkhead light on a building but want to use a photocell with it so it will come on for a few hours at night then go off with the photocell dawn to dusk divice but will it switch it or will i have to relay it if so can any body sugest a suitable relay? not had much experiance in this field. thanks

No relay needed providing it has a rating of at least 5A.

hi the photocell i was looking at has a 4amp rating for discharge lighting is it possible to get higher rated ones? thanks

I have used these on a few 70W SON-T floodlights before and they seem to work fine with no problems.

Hi thanks for reply but need on with timer on so light comes on for say 2,4,6, hours then goes off have you seen any that would do this ? thanks ian:vanish:
