HI

I just wondered if anyone who has setup a solar edge install with monitoring cuould help here?

I have used the iphone mapping tool and sent that off, i have registered a new install and recieved an email with my login details and i have verified my inverter connection with the server (<s ok>)

When i log in to the monitoring page, no install is present or pending. Is it just a case of waiting? If not any advice would be well received, thanks!

well, when you add a site do you use the iphone app and wait for it to automatically be added to your install lists or do you create a new site and up load a map and then i suppose wait for the inverter to connect

if you got S ok on the inverter it is already connected, create a site and upload then you will see all the data from the day of connection.

Hi, i did verify that the inverter said <s ok>. On my site it has a green tick to say site status but it has no data?

I would have thought that data would have been uploaded by now?

Mind you it does say status 'pending', does that mean that it is waitng for the inverter to verify or a third party?

on my first soalr edge install I tried the Iphone app but I found it a load of DOGS DOO DOO so I just used the old paper method.

one thing I would like to point out to solar edge staff is that it p****s down with rain in england so by the time you have peeled all your serial number off the optimizers and stuck them on the layout sheet , you end up with a soggy paper ...

Solar edge are started a new automated system where when you email them a question this STUPID reply system begins that does not make any sense , It starting to get silly now we need a human respone ...

Doing my first Solar Edge Install in a few weeks and don't want to muck around with Ethernet cables etc. Where do you get the Zigbee's from? Cant see them on the reseller portal. Direct from Solar Edge?

May have answered my own question but found another thread where Bruce has used these Netgear Universal Wi-Fi Adaptor : Wireless USB Dongles : Maplin Electronics ÂŁ50 better than ÂŁ299

And half the price again
NETGEAR WNCE2001 Universal WiFi Wireless N Extender Ethernet Network Adapter | eBay

Manufacturer refurbished, sounds like they might go wrong quite often, netgear stuff seems to end up popping caps and having psu probslems, hopefully they've uprated them. However as their offering a waranty, I gues they think they might have fixed them.

Trust me go with homeplugs. WiFi is ok if you know what you are doing but so many people do not have a clue how to keep wifi going without problems. Homeplugs are plug and play pretty much and once in you can simply forget them. I would be amazed if you ever get a callback using them.
