From what I've gathered since I posted the query, the supply from the pv side is connected to an mcb input terminal. This allows isolation but it is the only time an input supply is ever connected to the load terminal of an mcb! I worry as to what a spark who isnt aware of this might do while testing or working on the cu of such an installation. Anyone else out there to reply to this? This mcb is really a separator to separate the two sources, the PV and the Grid.

There is this schematic for him to follow, also there are a few MCB's that connect one way in a 3 phase board and another in single phase, i think merlin gerin is one such make, any "competent" spark will no this before testing. look at the guidence notes in GN3 and specially safe isolation procedures its all there.
