Gents,

Can anyone recommend a Solar PV Course??

There seems to be a lot on offer but my thoughts are to stick with a recognised qualification such as the City & Guilds 2399-1, 2399-11 & 2399-12

I'm new to the forum but thought it would be a good place to find guys that have already done these courses and find out how they got on. I've been a sparks man and boy and have mainly project managed for the past 15 years. I think there is a worthwhile opportunity in Solar however so I'm interested in getting up to speed with it.

Cheers in advance

Jules

Sunny Leicester!

Since my post I have spoken to a couple of companies and am now considering going with the trade skills 4 u City & Guilds course which covers the 3 modules 2399 - 01, 11, 12 it also picks up the Manual Handling and Working at Heights I have been told. However at just south of £1500 it isn't the cheapest.

I haven't parted with any pennies yet though if you have any better ideas?

Cheers

Don't know of any in your area, but the training centre I am familiar with doesn't do C&G just Logic (3 days) and for the other 2 days you get Working at Heghts, some practical experience and an EAL qualification. Lot less than £1500.

I've seen another one that seems to cover the same components for 895 +VAT so I'll give them a call and see before I commit to the TS4U package.

Thanks for the advice.

I myself done mine with able skills dartford Kent , superb people , really helpfull , best price i could find and also spread the payments over the period of the course to help you , could do alot worse in giving them a call .....
