My assessor is insistent I get soldering evidence for my folder, I have no idea what I'll solder I have
Never soldered at work... I've got a solder gun I basically need to make it up and mock up a couple photos.
Can any suggest anything I can solder? I was thinking a LED for a emergency lightreatment and maybe a battery pack?

Any help would be very appreciated I'm at a bit of a loss.

Thanks guys

buy a decent one and no issue with the vent [emoji14] never been burnt by my weller pyropen

For the frequency of use (rare) its not worth going all out on a good quality and design - mine keeps me on my toes too as I'm always aware of where it is and what it is facing - little room for complacency when you have already had your finger burnt (literally) :)

Any questions on soldering let me know, for I have been soldering since I was 5 years old and working in electronics for 16 years, I am about to do the ipc 610 test so that I have a bit of paper saying I can actually solder, a bit pricey buf absolutely everything nowadays gets asked for a ticket to prove it...even if you are good at it and been doing it for nearly 30 years...."here's my previous work"....."NO! have you got ipc 610?!?" (rolls eyes)

Scrounge a bit of, say 25mm single and solder a lug on the end.
