Hi all,

Just looking for some advice really.

I am on a job at the moment where there is 3 comsumer units. 2 of which are located by incomer/meter and are fed from henli block. 1 c/u is non rcd and has no spare ways, 2nd is a 4way rcd protected unit and has no spare ways. This rcd unit feeds the 3rd c/u via a 40A mcb. Due to the location of these fuseboxes there is no room to put a bigger c/u or rcd units.

Right i am goin to be using the 3rd consumer unit which is a 4way rcd unit, that feeds a summer house. I will be replacing this with a 5way, to feed conservatory sockets (radial), conservatory lights, 2 external masterseal sockets, and a remote control switching unit which will do summer house and outsde lights.
This c/u at present is fed with a 4mm T&E wich i will obviously be changing.
O.K where i need some advice is i now have to put another c/u in garage to feed garage sockets and lights and new dressing room sockets and lights plus have been asked to put 2 smokes in which will be fed from here aswell.
What im thinking of doing is changing mcb to 3rd c/u to 50A and changing cable to 10mm. Then adding an additional mcb/rcbo to 3rd c/u to feed garage c/u. Which has 2x fluro 9x dsso 8x spots and 2x smokes. 32A supply should be ok.

Does this sound O.K just limited to what i can do as there is no room for any additional control gear back at incomer as meter and the 2 c/u's are in boxing in the kitchen.

Cheers
